Welcome to Wayfound. By using our platform, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.

1. What Wayfound Is

Wayfound is an AI-powered information and navigation platform that helps families of children with disabilities discover, understand, and access government services, benefits, and resources. Wayfound provides personalized guidance, document analysis, eligibility matching, and deadline tracking.

Important: Wayfound is an information tool, not a legal, medical, or financial advisor. While we strive for accuracy using verified sources, our guidance does not constitute legal advice, medical advice, or professional advocacy. Always verify important decisions with qualified professionals.

2. Your Account

You must create an account to use Wayfound. You are responsible for:

Providing accurate information about your family
Keeping your login credentials secure
All activity that occurs under your account

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. Accounts are for individual families — do not share your account credentials with others.

3. What You Can Do

Create a family profile with your child's information
Chat with the AI navigator to ask questions about services and benefits
Upload documents (IEPs, IHSS notices, denial letters, medical evaluations, etc.) for AI analysis
View personalized eligibility recommendations
Track deadlines and manage prep checklists
Generate letters, reports, and emails using AI assistance
Provide feedback to help us improve the product

4. What You Cannot Do

Use Wayfound for any unlawful purpose
Upload documents that do not belong to your family
Attempt to access other families' data
Reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract our knowledge base
Use Wayfound to generate fraudulent applications, letters, or claims
Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit Wayfound's content or features
Attempt to bypass rate limits or abuse the AI systems

5. AI-Generated Content

Wayfound uses artificial intelligence (Claude by Anthropic) to provide guidance, analyze documents, and generate letters and reports. While we work hard to ensure accuracy:

AI-generated content may contain errors or omissions
Eligibility calculations are estimates based on the information you provide — actual eligibility is determined by the relevant agency
Generated letters and emails are drafts for your review — always read and edit before sending
Legal citations are sourced from our verified knowledge base but should be confirmed before use in legal proceedings
Document analysis is a tool to help you understand your documents — it does not replace professional review

We display confidence scores on AI responses to help you assess reliability. When confidence is low, we flag the response for human specialist review.

6. Your Data

You own your data. Your family profile, uploaded documents, and conversations belong to you. See our Privacy Policy for details on how we store, use, and protect your information.

You can delete your data at any time:

Individual documents can be deleted from the Documents page
Individual conversations can be deleted from the Chat page
Your entire account and all associated data can be deleted from Settings

7. Beta Program

Wayfound is currently in beta. This means:

Features may change, be added, or be removed without notice
You may experience bugs or service interruptions
We actively welcome your feedback to improve the product
Beta access is currently free — pricing will be introduced when we exit beta, with advance notice

Beta access may be revoked at our discretion. We'll provide reasonable notice before any changes to your access.

8. Pricing and Payment

Wayfound is currently free during the beta period. When we introduce paid plans:

We will provide at least 30 days notice before any charges begin
You will have the option to continue on a free tier with limited features or subscribe to a paid plan
Beta users will receive preferential pricing as a thank-you for early feedback
We will never charge you without your explicit consent

9. Intellectual Property

Wayfound's platform, knowledge base, AI models, design, and brand are our intellectual property. Your use of Wayfound does not grant you any ownership rights to our platform or technology.

Content you create (family profiles, documents, conversations) remains yours. Content we generate for you (analysis, letters, reports) is licensed to you for your personal use in navigating disability services.

10. Limitation of Liability

Wayfound is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that:

Our eligibility recommendations are complete or error-free
AI-generated analysis or letters will achieve any specific outcome
The platform will be available without interruption
Information in our knowledge base is current (laws and programs change)

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Wayfound's liability is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding any claim. During the free beta period, this amount is zero.

Wayfound is not a substitute for professional legal, medical, or advocacy services. For complex cases — IEP disputes, fair hearings, conservatorship filings, or medical decisions — always consult with qualified professionals. Wayfound can help you prepare, but it cannot represent you.

11. Termination

You may stop using Wayfound at any time by deleting your account. We may terminate or suspend your account if you violate these terms, with notice when possible.

Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days per our Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or through the app. Continued use of Wayfound after changes constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of San Diego County, California.
